This author’s (and other authors) opinion on Portumna Golf Club is well documented. Simply stunning and a beacon of light for all small clubs. Very progressive and with a golf course that comfortably rubs shoulders with the best parklands in Ireland.
While I haven’t had the pleasure of playing Killorglin it has received some excellent reviews online. “This is the best value for money golf course I have played at out of all the courses in Ireland and England. A few challenging holes and the views are outstanding.
The glass fronted clubhouse sits in an elevated position at the top of the course which itself gently rises. I often eat here even when I’m not playing due to the quality and very reasonably priced food and great service. I highly recommend Killorglin golf club” Mark Trafford.
