Christy O’Connor Jnr. designed his first project in 1986, and after that, he has become one of the most respected and leading golf course architects in the industry, with well over thirty projects throughout Europe. The thoughts of the late great Christy on his beloved Galway Bay are documented below
“This is a true championship golf course with a fair test of golf to all who discover this gem. Washed on three sides by the wild Atlantic ocean laden with pot bunkers together with natural water hazards combines to make Galway Bay one of the truly great courses of Ireland.”
Christy O’Connor Jnr.
The Heath Golf Club is an endearing members club based in close proximity to Portlaois. It is aptly named as the course is built on heathland and meanders it’s way through gorse and heather with firm underfoot conditions practically all the year round. Noted for good greens the Heath will present a challenge for all levels of golfers.
The Northern Trust
The first week of the Fed-Ex Cup playoffs, with Seamus Power the lone Irish representative. I’m sure we all wish Seamie well after securing his playing privileges on the PGA Tour for another year, just last week. A word to the wise – please check the runner and riders by clicking here.
Only two players from this week’s world top 10 allowed in any team. Check out this week’s World Top 10 here
Simply sign up or connect to this site using a connect button that suits you (on some mobile devices you may need to scroll down below the comment box to connect) and type the names of the four players in the comment box below here on this webpage.
